Birthday Party Fun!

We had a full house this Saturday & it was a lot of fun! It was our first real party since moving into our new home a couple months ago. There were streamers everywhere & more than enough cupcakes to go around! Jamin grilled hot dogs & we had fun hanging out with our local family & friends (there were nearly 20 of us & finally plenty of room to accommodate!) David got the hang of unwrapping presents pretty quickly & has just had a blast this week playing with all his new toys! Enjoy the pictures!

My Baby is One!

As most of you know, David was born on Jamin's birthday one year ago. He wouldn't have it any other way & loves sharing his big day with his favorite little guy. Jamin took some time off last week to spend time with our friends BJ & Lindsay, who were visiting from UT early in the week (a post is coming soon!) & also to hang out with just us. We had a pretty uneventful day other than going out to Red Robin for lunch (w/ coupons for the Birthday Boys!). It was nice. I love hanging out with my two guys! We all shared a small ice cream sundae & David certainly loves his ice cream!

A Visit from Friends

We are having a great time with BJ & Lindsay who drove up from UT for a long weekend. Will catch up with lots of photos soon! By the way, our little guy has SEVEN teeth now! I swear the latest two popped through just in the past day! whew! Lots of slobber! ;)

Big Boy Car Seat!

As my little guy turns one (right around the corner!!), he's getting way too big for his rear-facing car seat. His first car seat allowed him to sit rear-facing for a little longer than most (the safest for him). His legs got so long that he sat with his legs bent & feet pressed against the seat back. He's been growing so fast.. turning from a rolly poly baby to a tall skinny toddler! David is not walking quite yet, though (he's happy cruising everywhere & sometimes just standing on his own). Saturday, Jamin & I installed his car seat & he seemed right at home. Who doesn't love the huge back with the side wings (they seem comfy for resting his head for a nap though) & the arm rests & the cup holders. I'm sure David thought it was fun hanging out in his new car seat & Mama taking pictures from the front (not while driving, of course).

I love the angle of this picture with his huge feet in front.. so cute!

BTW, he just cut another top tooth last night! It's his left lateral incisor, for those nerds who want to google an image like I did. It looks like the right one is ready to pop through the gums soon also! We shall see! God bless teething tablets! As long as I have those on hand, then I just have an extra cuddly baby & not one who screams all day. Did I say baby? I mean toddler.. sniff sniff... He's always going to be my baby!

Kiddie Pool

Yesterday, David had fun with his buddy, Tyson, in a kiddie pool for the first time. The water was cool & I thought David might be timid about hanging out in the cool water. Boy was I wrong! He LOVES bath time, especially splashing around. He got right to work emptying the pool, splash by splash. Tyson started in too & the boys had a lot of fun!

First Haircut!

Sunday, David received his first haircut. All he really needed was a trim around his ears & little trimmed of the back. David was having some wild man hair days for a while. He was such a good boy for Jeri! Jamin & I took turns holding/entertaining him & taking pictures. Here are just a few. Of course, I've saved some of his locks for the scrapbook! Speaking of scrapbooking, I have a few pages that I completed a few months ago... I'll share those soon. I also ordered a ton of photos from snapfish (since I hadn't done so since January!), so I'll hopefully get crackin' on some more scrapbook pages. We shall see.. this sunshine sure is nice to play in!
