This past Wednesday night, Jamin & I tried to get some pictures of David's teeth. The only way we really get a good look at him is when we flip him upside down. Anyone who's been around him, knows that David gets a kick out of going upside down.. goofy kid. So he had a big grin to show us. I discovered a bottom tooth that is also starting to peek through his gums! Wow! I guess those teeth just want to all show up at once! David is such a trooper!
Here are a few more pictures, right-side-up, of our silly boy. I love the next one.. big grin, in the middle of jabbering at Daddy. It shows a glimpse of his happy-go-lucky, outgoing personality. In the last picture, you can see his swollen lower gums.

This picture was taken in 2006, when Jamin & I visited California in the summer. It's from a roll of film I recently discovered & sent in to be developed (thus, the not so great picture quality). This is the Sacramento, California temple. It's so beautiful inside & out! This was before it was dedicated that September. We went to check it out & just walk the grounds. It is literally 10 minutes or less from the home I lived in while I was in high school.. Such a special place!

Fun with Grandma Jeri
You can tell this boy is moving around a lot these days! That chubby neck is starting to fade! You can better see the pointy chin he got from his mama. ;) What a cute smile!

I should just rename this blog "David's Blog"
My little boy yesterday.. he's had a really tough time napping & staying asleep unless it's in my arms. Well, I've got a lot to get done while he's napping! (go to the bathroom by myself, take a shower, eat a meal.. you, know.. all that extra fancy stay-at-home-mom stuff! LOL) So I left him to cry for a little bit & he went to sleep pretty quickly, actually. When I went to check on him, he was huddled in the corner with his little butt up in the air.. the cutest thing ever. Of course, he only napped for an hour.. the whole day! This too shall pass. Thank goodness for adorable pictures like this to remind me that he does eventually nap. ;)

First Tooth!
I'm pretty sure this tooth broke out late in the evening on March 5th.. it wasn't there earlier in the day, but it seemed to be peeking out late that night & we definitely saw it the next day! yay! David was playing with Daddy on Grandma & Grandpa's couch on Sunday, March 8th, when Grandma snapped this shot. David won't let me check out his gums by lifting his lip, but he does enjoy hanging upside down (weird kid!), so that's generally how we get to check out what's going on in his noisy mouth. Our little baby is growing up so fast! Now he's got two chiclets in the front.. the second one popped out this last weekend.. who knows, maybe we'll get a tooth a week! David's doing so well! I know it's got to hurt! It sure hurts a lot when the Dr. takes them out! (I had two wisdom teeth removed last week.. ouch! I'm recovering quite well though!)

David today
These past few weeks, David has discovered the joy of taking all the books off our hallway bookshelf. All of my cookbooks are on the bottom shelf & he can easily grasp the spiral binding. A few minutes ago, I was sitting here checking my email & heard him chuckling to himself. I looked over & there he was just plucking one book at a time from the shelf. I love that he finds such amusement in the simple things of the world around him.
Oh, and our boy now has TWO teeth! All he wanted for St. Patrick's day were his two front teeth... and his wish came true! My baby is turning into a toddler so quickly! He's crawling EVERYWHERE & pulling himself up on EVERYTHING. I really do love it.. I love seeing him grow & discover things & get excited over the new things he's learning.
Ok, back to my 'to do' list.. this is going to be a productive Monday!

Updates
Hi there, Family & Friends! I've been working on getting some pictures posted here & fixing up a few posts where the pictures are gone! (don't know what happened there!) So bear with me as I'm keeping house. Jeri got a couple good shots of David's first tooth, along with our latest project, trapped in her SD card. It's formatted differently, so they won't copy to my computer or camera.. dangit!
On to some exciting updates.. you already know that our baby boy is growing up so quickly before our eyes, as you all warned us would happen. It's fun getting to know his charming little personality even better! He's been brave with his top teeth coming in.. while fighting a cold. And the icing on the cake is that I had oral surgery today to remove my 2 wisdom teeth (I only had 2!). Because of the drugs, I can't nurse him for a couple of days, so he gets his second choice, mom in a bottle.
Many of you already know this, but we're buying a house! YAY! We found a fantastic deal on a home that was way more than we imagined finding for a first home. Here are the details:
2 year old home in Ridgefield, WA, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, 2 level, 2075 square feet, 2 car garage, small yard - but hey there's a yard! (& a park just down the street in the middle of the neighborhood!). It's really a nice house & we're excited to make it our home! Our inspection is tomorrow & we'll keep things updated here on the blog!
I'm also working on updating a blogroll on our sidebar for the family & friends sites we visit. If you aren't listed, have no fear.. this is a slow process. But feel free to comment on this post & leave a link to make sure yours is listed!

News!
David has a central incisor peeking out from his gums! So that explains why he's been drooling like he has a hole in his lip the past week or so (& why he was cranky last night & this morning) The neighboring tooth looks like it wants to join the other one in the outside world, so we may be seeing that one in a short while. I was paying so much attention to his lower gums, that I didn't expect David to have an upper tooth come first! Surprise!
(he's too squirmy for me to check it out, let alone snap a picture.. so I'll try to get one later)

My Valentines
edited to add: apparently the photos weren't showing up in my original post! I think I've fixed it now, though!
I know Valentine's day is long gone.. but I'm trying to get caught up with posting some pictures... thanks for hanging in there with me!
This year, for Valentine's we had a family day. We took the day to get things done & enjoy time together. Jamin & I decided that David was way too squirmy to keep eating meals in his Bumbo, so we went out & found him a high chair. This one folds up! So it's great that we can keep it out of the way in our small space when it's not in use. It also came with a couple extra trays inserts, for when I get busy & can't wash up the high
chair tray right after a meal. Who doesn't love a hungry baby & a nasty, sticky food tray?
David seemed to enjoy helping Daddy get his chair put together. He was also a little confused with being able to see his shoe under the clear tray, but not able to grab it. Oh the fun of watching our little guy learn about the world around him!

Sending love to all of you since the spirit of Valentine's day shouldn't be reserved for just February 14th! ;)

Umm, you have something on your nose..
I turned around from writing an email today, to find David enjoying his snack maybe a little too much. I took one look at him & he just giggled.. it was cute! I sure love this kid!
So, I've been quite the blog slacker lately.. sorry! I don't really have any excuse either. But I'll be back soon to update pictures from the past couple weeks.
